National Night Out is a nationwide annual community-building event which promotes police-community partnerships, and neighborhood camaraderie to help make our neighborhoods safer and caring places to live. The National Night Out date in the City of St. Louis is the first Tuesday in October. This year, several community stakeholders are uniting to celebrate diversity and inclusion along Delmar Blvd., which historically has been a dividing line. The neighborhoods collaborating to united events along Delmar are Kingsway Development (Lewis Place and Fountain Park), The North Central Special Business District, Central West End Association, and The MADE District (Sherman-Academy).

This FREE community event invites all neighboring communities, families, local organizations, and the press to gather for a night of Music, Food, Family, Games, and Fun!

National Night Out is designed to:

  • Enhance the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community
  • Spark friendship across racial, economic and social lines
  • Heighten crime prevention awareness by empowering collective ownership of the community
  • Generate support for, and participation in, local crime prevention efforts
